The Life & Medical Sciences (LIMES) Institute at the University of Bonn is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in computational biology/bioinformatics to join their Department of Genomics & Immunoregulation.

This full-time position is available immediately, with a potential two-year extension.

The LIMES Institute, part of the Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences, focuses on molecular research in areas such as immunology and metabolism, utilizing cutting-edge technologies.


As part of the national consortium iTREAT, the Department for Genomics and Immunoregulation is specifically looking for candidates with expertise in bioinformatics, computational biology, and systems biology, with a focus on analyzing immunological multiomics data and developing computational approaches using state-of-the-art tools and IT infrastructure.


The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a related field such as computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, biology, life sciences, molecular biomedicine, or biotechnology.

They should also possess a strong background in computational biology, bioinformatics, biomathematics, biostatistics, or comparable computer programming skills, as well as experience in analyzing single-cell RNA-Seq and bulk RNA-Seq
