Are you passionate about providing educational and support services to people of all ages and cultures? Look no further The ASB Lehrerkooperative in Gridley, CA is a non-profit organization that offers a wide range of educational, parenting, and counseling services.

We are also a welcoming and inclusive employer, and we are currently seeking a full-time (38.5 hours per week) DEPUTY DIRECTOR (M/F/D) for our daycare center on Herzogstrasse.


Your role:


As the Deputy Director, you will play a crucial role in our daycare center, providing care and education to children aged 6 months to 3 years.

You will support their individual development and learning pace, create a nurturing and respectful environment, and act as a reliable partner for parents in play and care situations.

Open and trusting communication with parents is essential for a successful learning atmosphere.

In addition to your role as a pedagogical specialist, you will also assist the Director with administrative tasks for 19.25 hours per week.


Your qualifications:


  • Staterecognized qualification as a childcare professional in Hessen or a degree in social pedagogy or a related field
  • At least 3 years of practical experience
  • Ideally, some experience in a leadership role
  • Empathy, teamwork skills, and strong communication abilities
  • Openness to new ideas and a creative mindset
  • Reliability, resilience, and stability
  • Proficiency in German (written and spoken
