    Custodian - Night Shift



    About the Job:
    The company is looking for a dedicated Custodian for the night shift to maintain a clean and safe manufacturing environment. Your role will involve cleaning and sanitizing manufacturing areas, equipment, and tools, as well as ensuring safety procedures are adhered to.


    • Key Responsibilities:
      • Clean and sanitize manufacturing areas, equipment, and tools.
      • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
      • Collect and dispose of trash and recycling.
      • Operate cleaning equipment like floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers.
      • Monitor cleaning supplies inventory and report when replenishment is needed.
      • Follow safety procedures and report any hazards to management.
      • Perform light maintenance and repairs on equipment and tools.
      • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
      • Complete any other assigned duties.
    • Qualifications:
      • High school diploma or equivalent.
      • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred.
      • Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
      • Knowledge of safety procedures.
      • Capability to lift heavy objects.
      • Eligibility to obtain forklift certification.
      • Attention to detail.
      • Effective communication skills.
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
      • Readiness to work flexible hours.

    Physical Requirements:


    • Ability to stand for extended periods.
    • Capability to bend, stoop, and kneel.
    • Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Proficiency in operating cleaning equipment.

    Working Conditions:
    The Custodian will operate in a manufacturing setting that might involve exposure to loud noises, fumes, and chemicals. The role may necessitate working in areas with limited lighting or ventilation. Overtime and weekend work may be required as per business needs.
