Job Title: Banquet Bartender

Department: Banquets

Reports To: Banquet Manager

Summary: Bartenders possess a deep understanding of beverages and offer recommendations to customers, along with engaging them in lively conversations while fulfilling drink orders. Regular tasks include welcoming and ensuring the legal drinking age of customers, learning their preferences, answering queries, suggesting menu items, and crafting drinks as requested.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests
  • Verify identification and age requirements of customers
  • Mix traditional and inventive cocktails
  • Process card and cash transactions
  • Arrange bottles and glasses for an appealing display
  • Clean glasses, bar utensils, and the bar area
  • Manage inventory to maintain adequate supplies
  • Prepare fruit garnishes
  • Monitor alcohol consumption levels and take necessary action
  • Handle difficult customers professionally and ensure a safe environment
  • Maintain cleanliness by removing trash and waste
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Capable of standing for extended periods
  • Tips certification is a plus
  • Basic computer and math skills
  • Strong communication, reading, and writing abilities
