Responsibilities:

Designs methodology, conducts data collection and analysis, and prepares reports for moderately complex client-based research. May co-author publications, present research, and guide the efforts of other research staff.

20% Directs the development of research methodologies and procedures according to clientbased objectives and specifications
5% Identifies concerns and recommends solutions to leadership
20% Collects and analyzes moderately complex research data for one or more research projects. Designs and conducts experiments and interviews. Documents results according to established policies and procedures
30% Prepares reports and materials and disseminates information to appropriate entities
5% Reviews and edits research protocols under limited supervision
20% Develops recipes for specialty cheese making and their ripening, oversight of the specialty cheese ripening rooms, assistance to specialty cheese clients

Education:

Preferred
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, engineering, or related fields.

Qualifications:

Required:

Previous experience in the dairy/food industry
Knowledge of dairy chemistry, processing, and cheesemaking
Experience with project management

Preferred:

A Wisconsin cheesemakers license (or will need to obtain one within 1 year of starting at CDR)
Familiarity with routine and specialized tests for dairy products
Experience in the manufacture and ripening of specialty cheese

Work Type:

Full Time: 100%

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Ongoing/Renewable

Salary:

Minimum $65,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications

A 12 month evaluation period will be required
