At the Saxon State Library - State and University Library Dresden (SLUB), we are looking to fill the position of a
Media and Information Services Specialist (m/f/d) with immediate effect.

The position is full-time (40 hours/week) and limited to 14 months, with a salary according to the TV-L E6 pay scale.

With approximately 350 employees, the SLUB is one of the largest academic libraries in Germany.

It is an important center for innovation and coordination in the German library system and a vibrant social hub for academic exchange.

Your responsibilities:

  • Providing service at the information desk and through various channels of the SLUB, preferably at the Central Library and DrePunct/Makerspace locations
  • Assisting with user management
  • Supporting media logistics
  • Maintaining the librarywide TYPO3 event calendar
  • Contributing to innovative projects

Your qualifications:

  • Completed training as a Media and Information Services Specialist (preferably with a focus on libraries) or a comparable degree in the library field
  • Basic knowledge of local library information systems (ideally LIBERO)
  • First experience with common library search, information, and reference tools
  • Good English skills (at least level
