The majority of this position will be providing direct instruction to students in grades K-12 as well as teaching computer literacy classes at the elementary level in the afternoon at the READS Academy Program.

A portion of the position will be allocated to providing consultation to 10-12 classroom teachers in two schools around the integration of technology in the classroom using a variety of instructional technology hardware and software.

This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and an ability to collaborate with colleagues effectively. READS Academy is a therapeutic day school program for ED/BD/LD students.

Experience in vocational setting, working with tools Ability to teach shop related skills to studentsAbility to work as a team with Special Education Teachers Classroom management skillsFlexibility and desire to work with adolescents/share work experience and skills Academic/content area knowledgeNon-Violent Crisis Intervention certification preferred or willingness to be trained
