The city administration of Pulsnitz, as the fulfilling municipality of the administrative community with the towns of Pulsnitz, Großnaundorf, Lichtenberg, Ohorn, and Steina, is seeking to fill the position of

Head of Finance / Treasurer (m/f/d)
due to a vacancy as soon as possible.

Your main responsibilities will include:

Managing the treasury department, including budget, taxes, city treasury including enforcement, asset accounting and controlling, and leading the department's employees
Coordinating the fulfillment of tasks in all areas of the treasury for 5 towns while adhering to the principles of efficiency and thriftiness
Representing the department's interests in the administrative community's committees
Preparing and implementing budget plans, including amendments, preparing annual financial statements, budget monitoring, and budget security
Ensuring cash supervision, loan management, asset accounting, grant management, cost and performance accounting, and participation management
Assisting in the creation of regulations, calculations, and costbenefit analyses for the department
Handling other matters with tax implications, such as preparing VAT returns and participating in the TCMS
Departmentspecific involvement in the digitalization of the administration

Your qualifications:

Completed degree in economics or finance or qualification for the second career level in the field of general administration with a focus on general administrative services, or
At least one year of professional experience in public accounting
