At the Faculty of Social Work, Campus Wolfenbüttel, the following W2 professorship is to be filled as soon as possible:
Professorship
Inclusion and Self-Determination

We are looking for a person who is excited to contribute their expertise and professional experience to the education of students.

The professor will represent the professorship in teaching and applied research.

As part of the teaching in the Bachelor's degree program in Social Work and the Master's degree program in Preventive Social Work, courses on the following topics and approaches are to be represented:
Concepts of inclusion and self-determination, taking into account intersectional aspects; The specific significance of disabling social conditions, environments, and norms for people; Professional concepts for dealing with challenging behavior; Disability studies, empowerment, and self-determination; Fields of action, providers, and institutions of integration assistance; Health services research (e.g. decentralization, opening processes) and legal framework conditions. As a research-intensive university, we support you in your commitment to applied research. Furthermore, a willingness to actively participate in the self-administration of the university is expected.

The job-related requirements are a completed university degree in Social Work, Special Education, Education, or Psychology, or a comparable degree, teaching experience with students, special aptitude for in-depth independent scientific work (ideally demonstrated by an above-average doctorate), as well as professional experience in the field of the teaching area to be taken over.
