JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Continous Improvement Specialist
to join our growing team.
THE ROLE
The Continuous Improvement Specialist is responsible to support all departments on their continuous improvement (CI) Journey.
Individual must be professional, have a good attitude, a strong work ethic, along with a desire to learn and teach CI concepts and processes.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting and supporting the implementation of process improvements throughout the company.
- Learn, utilize, and teach CI processes.
- Assist in creating/maintaining standard operating procedures and/or work instructions.
- Mentor team members during continuous improvement activities and/or projects.
- Maintain and update the employee suggestion program.
- Assist and in some cases lead problem solving projects to include manufacturing, safety, quality.
- Assist with and help organize CI events: SQDCI and Hour by Hour boards, value stream mapping, 5S, Kanban, Kaizen, TPM.
- In charge of maintaining information and data via spreadsheets and charts.
- Assist in creating and maintaining standard operating procedures.
- Assist in other duties as requested by Managers.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Responsible for assisting and supporting the implementation of process improvements throughout the company.

- Mentor team members during continuous improvement activities and/or projects.
- Maintain and update the employee suggestion program.
- Assist and in some cases lead problem solving projects to include manufacturing, safety, quality.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
- Product and service knowledge, and comprehension of material and process flow.
- Ability to work and function as a team member with a wide variety of people.
- Basic hours will be 7:00am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday but the position will require flexibility, weekend work, and overtime hours upon request.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred.

Expected pay for this role is between $21.92 to $36.53 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
