Elementary School Teacher Grade 5(West Brookfield - Quaboag Regional School District
Description
Primary Function:
To teach and manage an elementary classroom
Qualifications:
- MA Certification in Elementary Education
- Knowledge of Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks
- Experience with an inclusion classroom preferred
- Ability to plan and teach integrated curriculum activities and lessons
- Ability to differentiate instruction for students with all abilities
- Ability to assess and report the academic and social performance of students
- Knowledge and experience with positive behavior interventions systems (PBIS) preferred
Responsibilities:
- Effectively teach MATH and SCIENCE for entire fifth grade class
- Maintain a deep knowledge and understanding of MA MATH/SCIENCE Frameworks
- Design lessons and units based on age/ability
- Incorporate technology into lessons as a means of engagement and as a tool for students
- Develop differentiated lessons
- Utilize computer software system for grading
- Data analysis
- Maintain strong classroom management and positive behavior skills
- Communicate effectively with students, staff and parents
- Collaborate with colleagues and administrators
- Good organization and time management skills
- Ability to portray a positive role model to students
- Desire to be an integral part of a highly effective team
Salary:
As per agreement between Quaboag Regional School District and the Quaboag Education Association
Pay:
$48, $80,000.00 per year
