Our trade fairs, congresses, and major events inspire our visitors, exhibitors, and own employees; these emotions are the backbone of Messe Frankfurt's business success. With your department, you set important impulses for the group and are responsible for the preparation of financial statements, planning, and profitability calculations for all companies operating at the Frankfurt location.

Your tasks:

  • You lead the Client Accounting & Controlling department with currently 9 employees and strategically, conceptually, and organizationally develop it (reviewing structures and processes for efficiency and/or automation potential)
  • You shape all tasks and processes related to the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as forecasts and planning for individual companies at the location
  • Close cooperation with Group Accounting & Controlling on grouprelated issues and with Treasury & Tax on tax matters related to the tax auditor
  • You are the central contact person for the auditor and accompany all audit activities for the individual financial statements of the mandated companies

Your qualifications:

  • Degree in business administration (Bachelor/Master)
  • Extensive experience in controlling and external accounting and financial statement preparation process
  • Strong social skills and several years of leadership experience
  • Proficient in MS Office, SAP R/3 (especially modules SD, FI, CO) or S/4 HANA
  • Excellent moderation and presentation skills, especially presentation skills in decisionmaking bodies
  • Analytical thinking skills and the ability to structure and prepare complex heterogeneous facts for decision
