V. is a non-profit organization in Düsseldorf that provides youth welfare services.

In the department of Family Support Services, we support parents who are often dealing with long-term illnesses, such as a cancer diagnosis or a mental illness, in caring for and providing for their children, as well as maintaining their household.

We also provide care for children with disabilities to relieve their caregivers and offer assistance in school, daycare, and leisure activities.


Responsibilities:

  • Providing family support services to families where the primary caregiver is unable to fulfill their duties due to illness or other reasons
  • Organizing and taking on childcare and household responsibilities
  • Developing and stabilizing daily routines for clients
  • Caring for children with intellectual, emotional, or physical disabilities
  • Assisting children with disabilities in school, daycare, or leisure activities
  • Independently and responsibly carrying out tasks with confidentiality and reliability
  • Participating in professional and care planning meetings
  • Maintaining necessary documentation and reports (computer skills required)

Qualifications:

  • Trained household and family caregivers (m/f/d), staterecognized social pedagogical assistants/childcare workers (m/f/d), or special needs educators (m/f/d)
  • Independent work ethic, psychological resilience, sense of responsibility, empathy, communication skills, organizational skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours if needed
