Position Summary:


Odyssey is looking for a
Research Psychologist II / Principal Investigator to support the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) Research Transition Office (RTO).

RTO is the DOD's gold standard for transitioning health-related research to the field by developing, evaluating, and disseminating knowledge products for Soldiers and their families.

RTO bridges the gulf between laboratory and field to advance relevant and effective research to safeguard and enhance Soldier readiness and lethality.

Responsibilities:


Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Additionally, the role requires building and maintaining solid relationships with stakeholders and colleagues, providing valuable consultation, and leading projects as a principal investigator.
  • Combining disparate data sets to address specialized research projects requires robust data analytics and the latest statistical skills.
  • The goal is to develop a clinical threshold scale for repetitive brain injury in military populations.
Execute multiple cross-disciplinary computational research projects and programs.

Stay updated with significant scientific advancements in all relevant areas of medical research, including translational research, and develop new projects and programs accordingly.


  • Develop necessary technologies and protocols, assess projects and programs' strengths and weaknesses, collect processes, and interpret experimental data and model outputs.
  • Lead the identification, initiation, development, and maintenance of internal and external research collaborations for research projects and developing new approaches to existing research problems.
  • Write and review all aspects of preparing, submitting, and presenting research proposals, progress reports, manuscripts, and highlevel programmatic reviews.
  • Present research accomplishments and progress in programmatic review and appropriate scientific conferences.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor, including attending and participating in required training for your role.

Qualifications:

Minimum Required Qualifications

Citizenship:
Must be a US citizen


Clearance:
NACI (Able to obtain)


Education:
Doctoral Degree in Psychology or Neuroscience or a related science discipline


Years of Experience:
Nine (9) years of combined experience in research psychology, neuroscience, and behavioral health initiatives in the military population.


Skills:


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in SAS or Tableau
