The hospital is a primary and standard care facility. The medical focus areas include general surgery, trauma surgery and orthopedics, neurology, internal medicine with gastroenterology, oncology, diabetology/endocrinology, pneumology, cardiology, geriatrics, obstetrics, etc. In addition, the clinic is an academic teaching hospital of the Justus Liebig University in Giessen. The hospital treats more than inpatient and over outpatient patients annually.
