Occupational training as a state-certified masseur/masseuse and medical bath attendant

The training at the state-recognized vocational school for massage Inntal e.V. lasts two years and starts annually on October 1st. Classes are held daily from 8:00 am to 3:15 pm. Holidays are aligned with the general school holidays - 4 weeks in the summer.

The final exam is conducted by a state examination board formed by the government of Upper Bavaria. After passing the state exam and completing a six-month internship at a suitable medical facility, a certificate is issued to practice as a "masseur and medical bath attendant".

Masseurs/masseuses usually work in the field of physical therapy based on a doctor's prescription and are part of the therapeutic team in curative medicine, rehabilitation, and spa facilities.
