JOB SUMMARY:


As Human Resource Generalist you will create and lead Human Resources practices and objectives with an emphasis on team member support and ensuring our work locations function effectively.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in establishing an exceptional culture based on Truly Nolen Core Values.
  • Assist leaders in effective performance management of all team members.
  • Conduct research/investigations into team member concerns.
  • Advise and assist on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Manage the unemployment review process.
  • Evaluate, research, and administer workplace accommodation requests (FMLA, ADA).
  • Conduct Respectful Workplace training and other HRrelated classes.
  • Perform Branch Wellness Checks to assess HR related issues and check on effectiveness of current company culture.
  • Assist managers with new hire paperwork and onboarding processes.
  • Understand, interface and prepare reporting from Truly Nolen's HRIS system.
  • Coach management on disciplinary documentation.
  • Crosstrain and perform other departmental job functions as needed.
  • Obtain and/or maintain PHR certification.
  • Be a part of a great HR Team.

QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL POSSESS:

  • A great personality and comfort in dealing with many different leaders and team members from many various backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of federal and state and local employment laws/regulations.
  • Knowledgeable in employmentrelated and compliance legislation (e.g., FMLA, CFRA, ADA,USERRA, EEOC and others).
  • PHR Certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint as well as experience with any HRIS database.
  • Experience in training and coaching, both facetoface and over video.
  • Excellent communication skills, both facetoface and video based.
  • Strong conflict resolution and listening skills.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Ability to plan and execute tasks effectively.
  • Selfmotivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Maintaining confidentiality as appropriate for the situation.
  • Flexibility and a cooperative attitude.
  • Capability to make difficult decisions.
  • Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
