Part-Time Accounting & Reporting Contractor - 1099

We're currently seeking a part-time accounting and reporting contractor to support our Director of Finance with weekly accounting and reporting duties.

Responsibilities:


General Accounting:

• Validate and report on accruals and journal entries in NetSuite for accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with the accounting department to monitor and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Offer accounting insights into weekly performance using NetSuite data.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly financial reports for external company partnerships.
• Generate weekly accounting reports for internal stakeholders.
• Fulfill ad hoc reporting requests from internal stakeholders.

Analysis:

• Provide regular accounting insights into performance trends concerning products, partnerships, customers, and time periods.
• Monitor data integrity in NetSuite to maintain ongoing accuracy.
• Assist with ad hoc analysis projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous 5 years of experience in accounting or financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software, specifically NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

Schedule and Compensation:

• Flexible work schedule hours per week) with remote work option (Virginia only
• RVA preferred).
• Compensation: $25/hour, invoiced bimonthly or monthly.
