Neighborhood Center in the Heart of Atlanta, IL

  • Starting immediately, fixedterm for two years

  • Parttime, 30 hours per week


The "
mittendrin" has been the social hub of the Highdeck-Siedlung / Sonnenallee Süd neighborhood since the living room of the community, open to all generations and nationalities.

Residents of the neighborhood can come together here to pursue their own ideas, supported by the "mittendrin" team.
The neighborhood center will end on June 30, 2023.

Based on the existing location and established structures,
we are developing a district center for the Köllnische Heide district region on behalf of the Senate and funded by the European Regional Development Fund.

We are currently looking for a dedicated project coordinator to join our team.


Your responsibilities:


  • Coordination of the neighborhood center and future district center
  • Project planning, financial planning and management within the framework of community work
  • Further development of the neighborhood center into a district center (concept development, program planning, mobile community work)
  • Coordination of activities in the following areas: civic engagement, lowthreshold counseling and social selfhelp, services for seniors, health promotion, neighborhoodbased services, democracy promotion and diversity
  • Networking in the local area, committee work, cooperation with other Internationaler Bund facilities, collaboration with networks and partners
