Position Title:
Computer User Support Specialist
Location:80% Remote, 20% Chicago, IL
Introduction:
Rivet Operations Company ("Rivet") has an opening for a Computer User Support Specialist. This position will be in support of the U.S Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) providing IT Support Services.
Rivet is an exceptional industry partner to the Department of Defense (DoD) and a leader in cyber security, IT management, logistics, supply chain management, process improvement and development.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
(Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with mínimal guidance:
- Activate, deactivate, stop, and start services, reboot servers, identify and correct system problems, recover system files when necessary, and perform monitoring and tuning of the servers and services.
- Provide troubleshooting support for incidents and document troubleshooting and resolutions in an automated tool.
- Identify, evaluate, document, install, and configure hardware and software to meet user needs ensuring all services, (e.g., Data
- at
- Rest (DaR), collaboration services, and file storage) are available as required and in accordance with Change and Configuration Management policies and procedures.
- Fault management and analysis, configuration control, and automated performance monitoring on applicable services, servers, and devices.
- Operate and maintain the a mobile device management (MDM) system with Microsoft Intune.
- Openminded, leans forward, and does not hesitate to reach out to others for help.
- Passionate about technology and excited about learning new systems.
Job Requirements:
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred (Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and obtain and maintain the required security clearance for the position.
- Possess a Microsoft 365 Certified Solutions certification.
- 5years of IT experience providing Tier 1, 2, and 3 level support.
- Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019, Active Directory, and Group Policies.
- 5 years of experience providing Computer User Support for Microsoft Applications, Azure, and different networks.
Physical Requirements
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen.
Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required.
Possible lifting up to 25 lbs.Please note:
