The Product Stewardship Manager reports to the Head of Regulatory Strategy and Product Stewardship and partners with key global regulatory affairs (GRA) stakeholders to support product innovations and applications that are compliant and safe for their intended use in health and biosciences, nourish, scent, and pharma businesses.
The Global Regulatory Affairs (GRA) organization has specialized and committed colleagues worldwide. Our work environment is truly international, and we offer a dynamic working culture focused on partnership, cross-organizational collaboration, and individual development opportunities.
The primary responsibilities for this position include:
Implementation and socialization of the Product Stewardship Management System (PSMS) program and processes to meet business and corporate objectives and requirements while minimizing product risks.
Build training and communication materials and conduct training to key stakeholders across IFF businesses to gain wide adoption and knowledge of product stewardship practices.
Work with Global Regulatory Strategy Leads (GRSL)s and product development teams to run risk assessment and mitigation plans to launch new products and/or evaluate significant changes (MOC).
Manage and maintain global application policies and communicate restrictions and risk assessment requirements to all stakeholders.
Participate in the development and continuous improvement of PS processes and systems.
Provide support to customers on the safe handling and use of products including the development of product hazard communication training materials.
Assemble and communicate PS performance metrics to measure business performance.
Manage interactions with external networks/consortiums, NGOs and trade associations related to Product Stewardship to advocate IFFs position and scientific approach.
****Job Requirements****
BS/MS in chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, or related technical field, such as biotechnology, industrial hygiene, toxicology.
5-10 years of experience in risk assessment or regulatory related field. Understanding and experience conducting risk assessments including hazard identification and exposure assessments across the value chain of a product.
Ability to lead, motivate, and participate in diverse, multi-functional, cross geographic teams and networks.
Effective organization skills and ability to manage project teams and complete multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
Effective communicator with networking skills, and ability to develop and maintain interpersonal relationships through all levels of an organization.
Self-starter, willingness to take initiative.
Understanding of environmental, health and safety control methodology.
Demonstrated ability to interpret regulations.
