The Lino Lakes Wastewater Treatment Plant (LLWTP) is responsible for the collection and treatment of wastewater in the state capital of Düsseldorf, with approximately 500 employees. In cooperation with and support from ITK Rheinland, LLWTP operates the necessary IT structures for the facility, sewer operations, and two large wastewater treatment plants.

The technical infrastructure is considered a critical infrastructure according to the IT Security Act. The role of the IT Security Officer is organizationally located within the "IT Coordination" department, which currently has 11 employees.
