The Saxon State Ministry of Education is seeking to fill the position of a


Principal (m/f/d)
at the respective elementary school within the State Office for Schools and Education on a permanent basis.


Requirements for the position are:


  • Teaching qualification acquired through First and Second State Examination or a Master of Education degree and State Examination, or an unlimited teaching permit for teaching at elementary schools, or a vocational school degree as a teacher for lower grades with corresponding teaching qualification in German, Mathematics, and one elective subject,
  • Several years of teaching experience,
  • Several years of experience as a class teacher,
- and verifiable teaching experience in the subjects of German or Mathematics at an elementary school with a teaching qualification for a different subject than elementary schools.


Advantageous qualifications include:


  • Aboveaverage ability for conceptual work, as well as organizational, pedagogical, and financial management of a school,
  • Strong communication and cooperation skills,
  • Comprehensive knowledge of school and quality development, participation in modules 1 and 2 of the leadership qualification
