Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team.
As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all medical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and prepared for use in medical procedures.
Your expertise in sterile processing and adherence to aseptic techniques will be crucial in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for patients and healthcare providers.
Duties:
- Receive, inspect, clean, disinfect, assemble, package, and sterilize medical instruments and equipment according to established protocols
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and washers
- Monitor and document sterilization processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate records of processed items, including tracking expiration dates of sterilized supplies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for surgical procedures
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of sterilization equipment
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infectious diseases
- Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Sterile Processing Technician program preferred
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with sterile processing techniques and aseptic practices
- Ability to operate sterilization equipment effectively and safely
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Note:
All positions must be paid including internship positions.
Pay:
$30, $60,000.00 per year
