And that's where you come in**: We are seeking a forward-thinking and experienced Accountant who will implement and maintain a high level of excellence in accounting-related administrative and operational procedures.

Your responsibilities

As an Accountant, your main responsibilities will include:

Conducting ad-hoc analyses and reconciliations of monthly and annual financial statements (HGB) to ensure quality and generate management insights
Processing incoming invoices (assigning cost centers, tax classes, and verifying invoices)
Managing payments and reconciling bank statements
Handling expense management (verifying and recording travel expenses, and reconciling monthly)
Preparing advance VAT returns (Umsatzsteuervoranmeldungen)

Profile

Completed apprenticeship (e.g. IHK "Geprüfter Buchhalter") or equivalent
2+ years of experience in accounting in a fastgrowing company, preferably with a financial product
Knowledge and experience with German GAAP (HGB) and tax regulations
Proficiency in using accounting software, preferably DATEV
Strong team player with a precise, analytical, and detailoriented working style, and a high level of accountability
Fluent in English and German
