Starting September 1, 2024, we are looking for you for a 2-year training as a metalworker (m/f/d) for SMW in Neubrandenburg at Highfield-Cascade.

In the past, this profession was only for tough guys who used muscle power to produce and assemble metal products. Today, modern machines are available for this purpose. Therefore, this profession also offers young women very good prospects.

The tasks of the metalworking specialist (m/f/d) include the production and assembly of custom constructions. Steel components are cut, bent, welded, and painted to size. Planning work steps based on technical documents, determining production methods, and selecting tools and machines will be taught during your training. In addition, you will learn everything important about controlling material flow and ensuring our production readiness. You will gain exciting insights into various topics and learn how to carry out quality assurance measures.

What to expect in your training:

  • In the 2-year training as a metalworking specialist (m/f/d), you will learn all the important techniques for working with metal. In the first year of training, you will acquire all the basic knowledge of metal construction and the different methods of metal processing. In the following year, you can deepen your knowledge, for example in the field of assembly technology.
