Position: Trading Manager (Europe)

Location: Edinburgh, Scotland

(must be open to relocating to Edinburgh)

Work Schedule: Permanent | Full Time | Hybrid

About the Role: As the Trading Manager for Europe at Green Valley Farms, you will be responsible for overseeing short-term trading operations. This role requires a deep understanding of the CWE markets and the responsibilities of a trader. You will also mentor junior traders, develop effective trading strategies, and create essential tools for shift desk activities.

Our mission at Green Valley Farms is to lead European short-term trading, and this position plays a crucial role in achieving that goal. It presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Trading Leadership:

  • Lead European Day-Ahead (DAH) and Intraday Trading plans, utilizing innovative tools and strategies to maximize profits and minimize losses.
  • Develop and maintain operational tools to support our Operations teams, enhancing their competitiveness and increasing the value of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).

Collaboration and Long-Term Vision:

  • Work closely with other European trading desks to establish cohesive, long-term strategies.
