As a carpenter, everything revolves around wood and wood materials for you. You have a knack for designing and manufacturing components and finished pieces from wood. You cut, shape, and plane the wood according to the project specifications. You use either traditional carpentry tools such as saws, files, and planes or operate state-of-the-art CNC machines. CNC stands for Computerized Numerical Control, which is a computerized numerical control system. You not only operate the machines, but also maintain them through regular maintenance.
