LAYERTEC GmbH is a medium-sized, family-owned company with over 400 employees. The company develops and produces sophisticated optics in high quantities for renowned laser manufacturers, as well as individual components for research institutions and universities worldwide. The production includes both fine optics manufacturing (flat surfaces, lenses, aspheres) and their coating with modern sputtering and vapor deposition processes.

At our headquarters in 99441 Mellingen (Thuringia), we are currently looking for a new team member in full-time (38 hours/week) as a Physicist / Opto-technologist* in Technical Sales.

Your responsibilities:

  • Technical customer consultation for new components and experimental projects
  • Independent recording and processing of complex customer inquiries
  • Examination of the technical feasibility of new components, cost calculation and pricing
  • Close cooperation with prototype production and support of product development
  • Support of the team for worldwide sales of standardized and customized optics

Your profile:

  • A degree in physics, laser and opto-technologies or similar
  • Independent and structured way of working as well as teamwork
  • Good knowledge of English in spoken and written
