We are looking for a
childcare worker/early childhood educator for our shift group at
Baumschulenweg
from 25 hours/week to full-time.

The shift group can accommodate seven young people from diverse backgrounds and with individual focus areas. Currently, the young people are between the ages of 14 and 18.

A young, diversity-sensitive and open-minded team of five to six educational professionals work in shifts and support the young people entrusted to them in their personal and professional development.

The team is supported by a housekeeping staff.

The social environment of the group includes the nearby Plänterwald and the urban area around S-Bahn Neukölln. The residential group is located in a 9-room old building apartment with a large communal living room.

In addition to professional case work, the team values an anti-discriminatory and life-world oriented approach.

We work well together - regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic and social background, religion and worldview, age, sexual orientation and identity.

Responsibilities:

Building trust and reliable relationships with young people
Collaboration in challenging life situations within the caregiver system
Ensuring the basic needs of young people
Ensuring a daily structure
Promoting the development and individual abilities of young people
Developing realistic life perspectives together with young people
Cooperation with the youth welfare office and its services and all parties involved in the help process
