With direct supervision and guidance from the Supervisor/Manager, Guest Services, the Patient Experience Associate, performs various duties to ensure high-quality guest service to our patients, their families, and visitors.
They provide each patient/visitor with accurate directory information and when needed an escort or wheelchair transport to their destination safely.
The Patient Experience Associate also provides information about YNHH services, area accommodations, and destinations. They also maintain an adequate supply of wheelchairs and ensure they are in working order and sanitized.EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran Responsibilities:
- Performs duties to ensure that support and information are available to patients, families, and visitors who are entering all main entrances of the ambulatory sites.
- 1.1 Provides warm welcoming greeting, determines the needs of patients and guests entering the ambulatory site in order to meet customer needs and accurately provides information and directions.
- 2. Provides directory, escort, and transport services.
- 2.1 Accurately obtains all pertinent information from patients/guests prior to proceeding on escort/transport.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION
High school graduate or equivalent required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1 year of experience providing exemplary service and interacting with the public in a customer service capacity.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Knowledge of proper wheelchair use is preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills, attention to detail, and physical endurance.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
Ability to lift 40 lbs. and utilize proper body mechanics in moving and lifting patients and files. Extensive pushing, pulling, lifting, and walking. Comfortable spending the majority of time on feet.
