Registered Ihss Provider Needed - Cupertino, United States - In Home Support Services (IHSS)

Duties

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) at the individual's home
• Assist with cleaning/ organizing the individual's home (without injuring self)
• Assist with hygienic mealprep and recipent's shopping / errands as needed

such as:
dishes, dusting and mopping floor, meal prep, light laundry, folding clothing, and organization of belongings.

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for recipent
• Practice hygiene: whenever touching your face or nose please sanitize your hands
• Assist with mobility as needed in physical therapy at times
• Punctually drive recipient early to medical appointments
• Assist with routine prescription pickups and refills
• Assist with scheduling routine and specialty appointments
• Assist with medical followup care

additionally:
create a chart of medical appts and ensure recipient is following up with the care team regularly

• Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure the privacy and confidentiality of individuals' information.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in direct support or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience in providing care for individuals in assisted living, nursing home, or hospice care settings is preferred.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and healthcare professionals.
• Calm personality with a willingness to help
• Professional respectful behavior and conduct.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Arrive to work on time
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and the importance of maintaining confidentiality.

All union health benefits begin after working 35 hours/month for two months. Compensation is provided via the Santa Clara County Union and IHSS. Therefore pay is not negotiable. You will need to contact the local union for more details on signing up for health benefits.


Hours:
Monday - Thursday 9 am - 1 pm, Fri 10am-7 pm

Occasionally, there're early appointments and you may need to start at 7:30am or 8am.
