Description

The city of Bamberg is currently seeking a Director (m/f/d) for the Department of Special Social Services at the City Youth Office in the Department of Climate, Personnel and Social Affairs, starting as soon as possible.

The City Youth Office is the first point of contact for children, adolescents, parents and families. As part of its diverse range of tasks and services, the City Youth Office provides help, advice and support on the topic of education and family.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing the newly created department, which currently consists of 12 employees (8.5 full-time equivalents) in the special services of separation/divorce counseling, foster care, adoption, youth welfare in criminal proceedings, coordinating child protection services, and family support centers
Coordinating and managing the funding of social work positions at 15 schools in the city, awarded to external organizations
Serving as the contact person for consultations according to § 8b SGB VIII
