The University Library, Department of Historical Collections, is seeking to fill a full-time permanent position as a

Librarian

starting on March 1, 2024.

The position will be filled according to qualifications and fulfillment of collective bargaining requirements, with a salary up to grade 10 of the collective agreement for the state of Hessen, or, if the requirements for civil service are met, in a civil service position up to grade A10 HBesG.

Your responsibilities:

• Cataloging of historical collections
• Creation of GND authority records
• Identification and recording of provenance
• Participation in projects related to catalog conversion at the interface of preservation, digitization, and media processing
• Advising and training students and researchers on accessing historical collections
