Deputy Store Manager (m/f/d)

famila Nordost is an expanding, dynamic retail company and is part of the owner-managed Bartels-Langness group based in Kiel. famila operates over 80 department stores in northern Germany and employs over 7,000 employees, including 500 trainees.

Your responsibilities

Managing the personnel in all areas of the store (administration & warehouse, cash and customer service, hardware, food, fresh, service counters)
Ensuring compliance with all existing work instructions
Co-responsibility for continuous in-house monitoring of expiration dates and freshness in all product areas
Responsible for merchandise planning, adherence to designated product placement, product presence, and implementation of weekly sales activities in all departments of the store
Co-responsibility for compliance with all legal regulations concerning the store (HACCP, organic guidelines, price labeling, product advertising and descriptions)
Training and mentoring of trainees and future managers
Conducting representative meetings
Designing promotional activities and secondary product placements
Performing tasks with the merchandise management system (e.g. returns, write-offs, price changes)
