- Collects essential assessment data including current condition, medical history, and psychosocial information to identify patient needs and potential issues collaboratively.
- Develops, reviews, and revises individualized care plans with measurable and achievable outcomes.
- Evaluates patient responses to care, initiates necessary changes, and documents interventions accurately.
- Incorporates teaching into patient care and prepares for discharge/transfer throughout hospitalization.
- Provides patient care based on nursing principles, adjusts priorities based on patient acuity, and clinical conditions.
- Recognizes patient age as a relevant factor in decision-making, providing age-appropriate care.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues, advocating for patients and utilizing available resources efficiently.
- Documents all information accurately on appropriate chart forms and reports concisely during shift handovers.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration within 90 days of hire for specified departments.
- Minimum 1 year of Oncology Nursing experience.
