- Offer courteous and attentive greetings to staff, guests, and vendors
- Report any issues promptly to management
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to distress or emergency calls
- Maintain the company's reputation with professionalism
- Work collaboratively with different teams within the organization
- Patrol property on foot, ensuring the safety of employees and guests
- Investigate and take necessary action according to corporate policy on various incidents
- Report any suspicious activities promptly
- Monitor surveillance equipment as required
- Control access points and handle check-ins and check-outs during peak times
- Prepare daily reports and shift recaps
- Ensure all doors, windows, and exits are secured
- Assist with customer service tasks, like welcoming guests and helping with luggage

- High school diploma or equivalent
- New York Security Guard License (unarmed guard position)
- 1 year of security officer experience
- F53 license is a plus
- Previous Customer Service experience
- Strong communication and writing skills, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in a 24/7 Hospitality/Retail setting
- Willingness to learn hostel operations
- Friendly and helpful attitude
- Applicants must provide a writing sample
- Proficiency in Spanish (a bonus, not mandatory)
- Knowledge of security equipment and surveillance systems
- Training in Customer Service and De-escalation

The Security Associate's primary responsibilities include welcoming and interacting with guests, ensuring the security of the facility, and maintaining a friendly atmosphere for everyone entering. There's also a chance for cross-training in Front Office and Housekeeping Operations.
