Your Duties and Responsibilities:


As a PhD candidate, you will conduct cutting-edge research within the HIGH-HOPeS project, present your work at national and international conferences, and publish in top journals.

You may also have the opportunity to supervise Bachelor's and Master's students working on related topics and participate in teaching activities.

The goal of HIGH-HOPeS is to develop methods that can utilize higher-order relationships for analyzing complex data. This involves using mathematical models to create efficient algorithms and software.

Specifically, we will focus on ideas from algebraic topology and discrete calculus, which view the graph Laplacian as part of a hierarchy of Hodge-Laplacians that capture couplings between node-tuples of any size.

Our objectives are to i) provide more informative ways to represent and analyze complex systems, with a focus on computational efficiency; ii) extend graph-based signal processing to data on general topological spaces defined by cell complexes; and iii) gain
