In the Rail Infrastructure Department of the Authority for Transport and Mobility Transition (ATMT), we are driving the development of the rail network in Hamburg.

In the Network Development and Financing Division, our focus is on ideas, concept development, and feasibility studies for the future rail network in Hamburg (S-Bahn and U-Bahn, railway) as well as railway policy and legal issues.

We also oversee all grant procedures in the Department of Transport and manage federal funding for public transport and rail transport operations and infrastructure expansion.

With our diverse tasks, we are a team of 12 rail enthusiasts from various disciplines.
You would be responsible for the Connection Railway Relief Tunnel project.

This project is already in the transition to concrete planning and preparation for initial implementation steps, so that from 2025, the position will likely be transferred to the Rapid Rail Construction Division, where all planning and construction activities in the Hamburg rapid rail network are consolidated.
