"The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3.5-year apprenticeship as an Industrial Mechanic (m/f/d) at DB InfraGO AG in Schwandorf, starting on September 1st, 2024. The vocational school is located in Nuremberg.
What to expect during your apprenticeship:
  • Become an expert in assembling, commissioning, and maintaining railway technology
  • Work with tools and machines to perform metalworking tasks such as turning, welding, drilling, and milling
  • Learn about workplace safety and quality assurance
What to expect as an Industrial Mechanic apprentice at the workshop:
  • Ensure that our infrastructure is supplied with switches, crossings, and spare parts for all track components
  • Monitor the production of all components of a switch, such as tongue devices and heart pieces
Your profile:
  • You have (or will soon have) successfully completed school
  • You have a good understanding of math and physics
  • You have good manual skills and enjoy tinkering in your free time
