Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Head of Finance and Accounting to lead our financial operations and drive sustainable growth. This person will play a critical role in shaping the financial strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. Identify key financial metrics, trends, and opportunities to drive informed decision-making and operational efficiency.

Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, regulatory filings, and compliance reports. Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and other relevant accounting standards.

Accounting Operations: Direct the accounting operations function, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax planning. Implement best practices and internal controls to maintain financial integrity and accuracy.

Treasury and Cash Management: Manage cash flow, liquidity, and banking relationships to optimize working capital and mitigate financial risks. Develop and execute treasury strategies to maximize returns on investments and minimize borrowing costs.

Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to team members.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Proven experience (15+ years) in senior finance and accounting leadership roles within the biotechnology or life sciences industry.
Indepth knowledge of financial planning and analysis, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Strong understanding of biotechnology industry dynamics, including R&D funding, clinical trial finance, and revenue recognition.

$200, $400,000.00 per year
