We are currently looking for a Science Manager / Research Officer (m/f/d) for the Department of Ophthalmology, starting as soon as possible for a fixed term of 2 years with the possibility of extension.

This is a full-time position with 38.

5 hours per week, with compensation based on qualifications and responsibilities according to TV-L code:
*m/f/d=gender-neutral. The Department of Ophthalmology conducts both basic and clinical research, covering a wide range of research topics including pathologies of the retina, cornea, and optic nerve. We investigate the development of diseases, as well as new and improved diagnostic methods, particularly in the field of imaging, and innovative treatment options. In interdisciplinary projects, we also research the use of artificial intelligence in ophthalmology.


Your responsibilities:
Coordination and controlling of scientific projects in the ophthalmology department Screening for external funding sources, preparation and dissemination of information on current funding programs Support of scientists in formulating research proposals, including financial calculations, writing text modules, and preparing ethics applications Management of external funding projects in collaboration with relevant institutes and communication with the
