Description

We are looking for you for a 3-year apprenticeship as a railway operator in train traffic control (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at the Osnabrück, Lingen (Ems) or Rheine location. The vocational school is located in Burgdorf (near Hanover).

With this apprenticeship, you will become a coordinator for our trains. Instead of being on the train, you will be in a control center (called a "signal box"). We have countless signal boxes throughout Germany. Using screens or boards, you can monitor the trains in your area and use buttons, keys, and levers to influence their journey. With the push of a button, you can set signals (traffic lights for the trains) to green or red and also switch tracks so that the trains can change tracks. Many other tasks make you the most important team member for the train drivers. You are constantly in contact and exchange information, for example, about changes during the journey.

With your small team, you will work in the Osnabrück area at a signal box close to the action. Here you can see the trains passing by. The trains are usually controlled using levers, push buttons, or rotary switches.

What to expect in your apprenticeship:

  • Your colleagues will show you step by step how to operate the technology in a signal

  • More jobs from Stellar Enterprises
