The Dresden Whisky Manufaktur was founded in 2019 and is currently building one of the largest and most modern whisky distilleries in Germany.

We are looking for a Master Distiller to join us in creating something great and beautiful in our completed distillery by September 2021.

In this role, you will work in various areas including production, production technology, bottling, laboratory, quality management, and logistics.

Responsibilities:

Leading and coordinating all production employees
Assisting and monitoring production processes (procedures, quality, hygiene, etc.)
Planning, budgeting, and monitoring the procurement of raw materials, bottles, cartons, closures, labels, etc.
Managing materials and finished products
Creating production reports for necessary declarations and reports to the main customs office (alcohol department)
Developing measures for continuous improvement of process flows
Troubleshooting production equipment
Transporting and storing raw materials and finished products
Quality control and implementation of hygiene measures
Willingness to work in shifts

Qualifications:

Completed apprenticeship as a distiller or equivalent, such as a qualified degree as a (diploma) brewmaster or brewer with relevant work experience
Relevant work experience in the spirits industry, process and engineering technology
Good knowledge of MS Office
Good knowledge of English, additional languages are a plus
Independent and responsible work ethic
Good communication skills
Teamwork and social competence
