- Ensure the regulatory compliance of company-provided benefit plans in the U.S., including health and welfare and 401(k) plans
- Provide technical expertise of the company's employee benefit and leave programs
- Review plans and policies related to employee benefits in conjunction with preparing their amendment and restatement
- Draft summary plan descriptions, benefits-related HR polices, and employee communications
- Respond to various benefit plan inquiries
- Work with outside consultants and internal stakeholders on ERISA plan audits, Forms 5500, ACA reporting, and annual discrimination testing
- Research employee benefit plan and leave related issues
- Maintain strong knowledge of employee benefit plan laws, including HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, and ACA
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Experience working as an ERISA Paralegal or working under the supervision of ERISA attorneys strongly preferred
- Experience understanding large controlled group structures
- Proficiency or mastery in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
