The Archdiocese of Bamberg, with its over 1000-year history, currently consists of 339 parishes organized into 35 pastoral areas. It has approximately 630,000 Catholics and around 7,500 employees.

It covers large parts of Upper and Middle Franconia, as well as parts of Lower Franconia and the Upper Palatinate.

The Archdiocesan Ordinariate in Bamberg is the administrative center of the archdiocese, with eight main departments and twelve staff positions.


The Archdiocese of Bamberg is currently seeking a Personnel Officer (m/f/d) for the main department of Personnel - Compensation - Daycare Centers, based in Bamberg.

The position is part-time, with a workload of 50% (currently 19.5 hours/week). A temporary increase in workload is possible.


The main department of Personnel - Compensation - Daycare Centers is responsible for managing and coordinating all personnel and labor-related matters, and works closely with the relevant managers and other specialist departments.


Your main tasks will include:


  • Advising and supporting parish foundations, overall church communities, and affiliated daycare centers on personnel and laborrelated issues
  • Acting as a liaison between the personnel department and the payroll department
  • Potentially participating in projects in the field of human resources

We expect you to have:


  • A degree in Human Resources/Labor Law or a comparable qualification in the field of human resources
  • Ideally, several years
