Description

Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the sale of the company's products or services to current and prospective customers consistent with the annual operating plan.
  • Identify competitive issues in the marketplace and develop strategies to maintain or increase market share, preparing daily sales reports and making recommendations for future changes in the company's product line or to the sales process for revenue and margin improvement.
  • Prospecting, accounting, and territory development, closing sales, problemsolving, and customer satisfaction.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Developing new business opportunities by identifying potential customers and markets
  • Conducting market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitors.
  • Negotiating contracts and pricing with customers
  • Managing the sales process from start to finish, including developing proposals, closing deals, and following up with customers.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as production and logistics, to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time and to the required specifications.
  • Maintaining accurate and uptodate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and market trends
  • Providing exceptional customer service and addressing any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:


  • Several years of experience in sales or account management within the steel industry preferred
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong understanding of the steel industry and market trends.
  • Be able to build strong relationships with clients, work independently, and be comfortable with a high level of responsibility.

Education and Experience:


  • A bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
