    Description

    Job Title: Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor

    Scope:

    As a Golf Course Maintenance Supervisor, you will partner with the Superintendent to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities, staff management, and ensure superior course conditions.

    Primary Responsibilities include:

    • Recruit, interview, select, and hire maintenance staff.
    • Lead and schedule staff effectively to maintain quality standards.
    • Ensure course set up meets company and industry standards.
    • Proactively address agronomic issues and implement solutions.
    • Provide safety and job skills training for staff.
    • Develop and implement fertilizer and pesticide programs.
    • Manage equipment operations and maintenance.
    • Monitor financial targets and uphold accounting procedures.
    • Foster communication across departments.
    • Contribute to operational and financial planning.

    Qualifications:

    • Two-year Turfgrass Maintenance degree and supervisory experience.
    • Three years of progressive golf course maintenance experience.
    • Pesticide license acquisition within first three months.
    • Knowledge of turfgrass equipment and irrigation systems.
    • Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
    • Experience in team leadership and supervision.

    Working Conditions:

    Weekend and holiday work may be required.

    Physical/Cognitive Activities:

    This position involves organizing maintenance activities, leading staff, and demonstrating problem-solving skills. Effective communication and occasional physical tasks, such as lifting heavy items, are essential.
