Industrial clerks are responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring various business-related tasks.This leads to many different job opportunities, with a focus on areas such as purchasing, accounting, human resources, sales, and quality.
The training period for this profession is 2.5 years.Industrial clerks are trained at two locations within the dual education system: the training company and the vocational school. The vocational school for industrial clerks is located in Kitzingen. Under certain conditions, it is possible to shorten the training period.
Tasks include managing processes in areas such as material management (comparing and obtaining offers, overseeing goods receipt and storage), production management (planning, controlling, and monitoring production processes), financial management (financial accounting and controlling), and human resources (recruiting, time management, and payroll).
This includes training on topics such as values, personality, communication, and personal goal setting, as well as participation in apprentice projects.
There are also opportunities for professional development, such as attending seminars on topics like IT courses, law, foreign languages, telephone and conversation training.
With the appropriate work experience, there are also opportunities for advancement to positions such as specialist clerk, specialist, business administrator, or pursuing a degree.
