Responsibilities
- Assist lawyers and paralegals in preparing legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and contracts in the Family Law domain. Manage correspondence, calendar schedules, and meetings.
- Organize and maintain legal documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility in the context of Family Law. Manage filing systems (physical and electronic) efficiently.
- Serve as a point of contact for Family Law clients, handling inquiries, scheduling appointments, and maintaining excellent communication on behalf of attorneys.
- Conduct legal research in Family Law using various resources to support case preparation and document drafting.
- Coordinate court filings related to Family Law, prepare and assemble materials for hearings, and assist in trial preparation.
- Assist in preparing invoices, tracking billable hours, and managing financial records as needed in the context of Family Law.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a legal secretary.
- Proficiency in legal software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling legal documents and correspondence.
Pay:
$44, $65,000.00 per year
